Two years after the launch of the revolutionary 2023 range, KTM presents today the new SX 2025 models, designed to raise the bar even higher in the competitive motocross segment. The new SX and SX-F are even easier to ride.
In terms of aesthetics, the new SX and SX-F stand out for their red and black graphics, while the orange surfaces and the black seat – now more resistant – provide a simple look.
In terms of ergonomics, the bikes feature new bi-composite plastic radiators on the top and bottom, which offer a new look and improved cooling. Also new is the tank attachment system to the frame, which prevents damage from wear or friction and optimizes the assembly and disassembly of the tank itself.
Under the plastics, the SX and SX-F 2025 share the main innovations introduced at the end of last year with the SX-F FACTORY EDITION versions. In fact, the frame features a different sizing in the head tube area – more flexible – a new upper mounting of the shock absorber – stiffer and at the same time lighter – and new engine mounts, lighter and more flexible. This resulted in a savings of about 300 grams and a change in the response to effort, which benefits agility in the most difficult sections and stability in curves. Also new are the chain guide on the swingarm and the brake pedal, which is stiffer and more resistant than before. The 2025 models also feature an updated design of the connecting sleeve between the filter box and the throttle body. It is now a one-piece design, which prevents deformation of the duct itself thanks to the use of more rigid and resistant materials. In the suspension department, the WP XACT AER fork has an updated configuration to match the new frame flex characteristics, while the WP XACT shock absorber is now connected to the swingarm with new lighter, smoother, and more resistant links, developed directly by the KTM Factory Racing Team. The SX and SX-F 2025 are equipped with Dunlop GEOMAX MX34 tires, which provide the highest level of stability and control in all conditions and feature a new casing compound that improves damping and absorption, as well as increases tire life by 30%. In addition, the new Progressive Cornering Block technology increases traction, grip, and ground clearance.Entering the specifications of the various models, the main novelty within the 2025 range is the return of the KTM 150 SX. A natural evolution of its younger sister, the KTM 125 SX, the new bike was specially developed for riders passionate about 2-stroke bikes in search of affordable performance and a great feeling of lightness.
As with all KTMs, a wide range of original KTM PowerParts has been developed for the new MY25. One of them is the Offroad Connectivity Unit (CUO), the system that can be used to adjust the engine behavior and frame setup through the KTMconnect app, depending on the rider’s preferences. The CUO consists of two parts: a control unit mounted on the right fork – between the lower and upper triple clamps – and the GPS sensor integrated in the front fender, which is also available as a KTM PowerParts.
The 2025 SX and SX-F models will arrive at KTM dealerships starting in June 2024.
