The next KTM 390 Adventure 2025 was once again spotted testing, along with the 390 Enduro, focused on off-road, which will likely be called the KTM 390 Adventure R. Both bikes feature a very robust design.
The observed KTM 390 Adventure features a rally design, which we have seen in the previously observed test model. It has a vertical dual projection headlight with LED DRL (daytime running lights), similar to the KTM 390 Duke. It has wide and long support bars that can also serve as support for side cases. The photographed bike has a TFT console that offers smartphone connectivity and navigation. The bike was identified with a one-piece contoured seat and was equipped with Metzeler Tourance dual-sport tires.
We could also clearly see the KTM 390 Adventure R, which features a sleek fairing and a typical off-road bike design. In the photos, we can see that the Enduro bike has a smaller headlight, high handlebars, a flat and long one-piece seat without support bars, mid-mounted footpegs, all combined to offer an upright riding position. We couldn’t get a clear view of the instrument panel, but it’s likely to have a minimalist LCD panel, so you can focus on tackling the trails. The Enduro test bike had different indicators from the 390 Adventure.
The 390 Adventure R was equipped with a long-travel WP inverted fork and an adjustable shock absorber. The test bike had 21-inch spoked wheels at the front and 18-inch at the rear, fitted with Reise Trail-R tires.
Both bikes feature slim rear sections with a sleek LED taillight. However, it’s surprising to see the exhaust under the belly on both bikes, which may restrict their off-road and water navigation capabilities. That said, we believe that KTM is only using the underbelly exhaust on the test bike and the production bike will have a side-mounted exhaust. Both bikes will have the liquid-cooled 399cc single-cylinder engine from the 390 Duke, producing 45 hp and 39 Nm, but the engine is expected to be tuned differently to suit the nature of the bike.
It is expected that both motorcycles will be presented at EICMA 2024, with the launch likely to take place at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
