Within the prestigious International Motorcycle Show in Milan EICMA, which celebrates its 80th edition in 2023, the motorcycle brand KOVE unveils 3 new models, with the sporty 450RR, the maxitrail 800X Pro, and the MX250 cross bike, and confirms that it will start its sales in Portugal in early 2024. At stand Q48 in Pavilion 22, KOVE held a press conference that, just like in the 2022 edition, surprised the motorcycle world with its products, generating great anticipation with these three novelties, as well as with other sales data.
As announced in March 2023, KOVE entrusted the MOTOS BORDOY Group exclusively with the distribution of its motorcycles in Portugal and Spain. The 50 years of history of the company dedicated to the world of motorcycles, and the great success it has had in establishing brands such as SYM, NIU, QJ MOTOR, or its own brand MACBOR in Portugal and Spain, was vital for KOVE to trust the MOTOS BORDOY Group, which, in addition to being an importer of these brands, is present in the motorcycle market as a distributor and dealer of other brands. The incorporation of KOVE into the complete product portfolio of the MOTOS BORDOY Group is part of the expansion plan that the company is carrying out, both in terms of business and operation.
Although it will still be necessary to wait another month to acquire KOVE motorcycles in Portugal, due to the growing interest it has sparked in our country, the Chinese brand has decided to activate its social media profiles already, so that all enthusiasts can follow the brand’s steps. Currently, KOVE is present on both Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/kovemoto_pt/?hl=es) and Facebook.
Three new models to dream about
KOVE is a brand that was conceived with the aim of offering unique and exciting driving experiences, with products that stand out for their high quality and excellent performance. To the range that KOVE will market in Portugal in 2024, with models in the NAKED, CLASSIC, ADVENTURE, RALLY RAID, and SPORT segments, will be added representatives of the Off-road and “R” ranges presented at EICMA 2023:
– Kove 450RR: sports bike, with a 443 cc four-cylinder engine, which develops 70.7 hp at 13,000 rpm, and with a dry weight of 165 kg. It is equipped with components and devices of the highest quality, such as ABS, TCS traction control, KYB suspension, a steering damper to prevent handlebar shake at high speeds in sporty driving, and a RAM Air that gains 3 hp at speeds above 150 km/h. It offers excellent ergonomics, regardless of the rider’s height, as it allows for seat height adjustment.
– Kove 800X PRO: new version of this 800 cc maxitrail, which reaches 71 kW at 9000 rpm, with a 20-liter fuel tank that lowers the center of gravity and facilitates the movements of its handlebar. Furthermore, it uses magnesium and aerospace-grade aluminum in some of its components to reduce weight, which is only 185 kg with fuel. It also improves its off-road capabilities, with long-travel suspensions and a ground clearance of 275 mm
– Kove MX250: it is a motocross bike equipped with a lightweight 4T DOHC engine (only 26 kg) with 30 kW at 12000 rpm. Its long-travel damping, adjustable in compression and extension, features DLC coating. Its narrow seat facilitates the rider’s movements on the bike, while its light weight, 97 kg empty, provides great maneuverability. Its double-cradle frame is made of high-strength HC700 steel, and the subframe is made of aluminum.
