Kawasaki recently introduced the Ninja 7 Hybrid and at EICMA 2023 also debuted its naked twin sister: the Z 7 Hybrid.
A unique project that has been generating a lot of buzz and will certainly be much discussed. The new naked bike does not differ in many details from the more sporty Ninja, but it has technical features that are absolutely remarkable.
Engine
The Z 7 Hybrid has a liquid-cooled 451 cc four-stroke twin-cylinder engine, with a maximum power of 59 hp and an electric motor with a maximum power of 9 kW.
The Z7 Hybrid can be used in three different modes: in fully electric mode with automatic transmission – in this case, the maximum range is 12 km – in Eco-Hybrid mode, where the electric motor works in harmony with the internal combustion engine, offering the option of a six-speed automatic transmission and manual gear selection through up and down paddles, without a clutch lever, or in Sport mode, which also features an “E-Boost” function. With a simple touch of the switch, the Z 7 Hybrid unleashes all its power in five seconds and provides impressive acceleration.
Available from spring 2024
Based on the same trellis frame and equipment as the Ninja 7 Hybrid, the Z 7 Hybrid opens up a new world in the naked bike segment, doubling Kawasaki’s hybrid offering in the market. Set to be launched in the spring of 2024, the Z 7 Hybrid puts Kawasaki at the forefront of the ever-evolving two-wheeler technology universe.
The Z 7 Hybrid will be available in Metallic Spark Black/Lime Green Matte/Ebony or Metallic Matte Graphite Gray/Ebony/Metallic Matte Graphite Gray.
