José Mourinho was invited to the Portuguese MotoGP Grand Prix, marking the first time he had the opportunity to attend a live event of the premier class of motorcycle racing.
The renowned football coach was able to visit various teams and riders in the paddock – such as Ducati, Gresini, or Trackhouse Racing, as well as fellow countryman Miguel Oliveira. And at the end of the race, he had a privilege that few have: waving the checkered flag.
In statements to the official MotoGP platforms, Mourinho talked about his connection to the championship: ‘I am connected by passion and by friends. I have friends in MotoGP and I have a passion for this. And I regularly watch it on television. But my life is not the easiest and this is the first time I have this opportunity’.
