At the end of four rounds, Jorge Martín leads the MotoGP World Championship, and despite retiring from the Spanish GP, he has had a consistent start to the year, fighting at the front – which has not always been the case in his career in the World Championships.
The Spanish rider said in a press conference that this consistency has been present since 2023, but he admitted that he is focusing more on the beginning of the season considering that he usually struggles in that phase:
– I think that last season, from the middle of the season to the end, I was very competitive, always at the front. I just continue that consistency, trying to focus more on the beginning of the season because it’s always an aspect where I struggle.
Martín added: ‘So, I try to work a bit better and try to stay calmer in some situations where I usually struggle or get nervous. Now I try to relax a bit and breathe, so maybe this is the key‘.
