Jorge Martín was the MotoGP World Championship runner-up last year, fighting for the title until the last round. In what will be only his fourth season in the premier class, the Prima Pramac rider is aware that there are several aspects to improve.
The Spaniard believes that there are areas in which he ended last year well prepared: ‘There are many things that can be improved in all aspects. I believe that in terms of riding and speed, we are already very well prepared – by the end of the season, if I wasn’t one of the strongest, I was almost there’.
As for what needs improvement, Martín highlighted three areas: ‘I think the aspects to improve are the beginning of the season, because last year was when I struggled the most and then I had to recover; Sundays, it’s also an aspect to work on – I think in terms of setup, maybe preparing the bike more for Sunday than just to be fast; and then I think mentally I also suffered a bit at the end of the season. I had a lot of pressure, maybe obsessed with that victory, and things didn’t go well. So, we also have to work on that aspect a bit’.
