Jorge Martín was the MotoGP runner-up last year, fighting for the title until the final round. In what will only be his fourth season in the premier class, the Prima Pramac rider is aware that there are several aspects to improve.
The Spanish rider believes there are areas in which he already ended the year well prepared: ‘There are many things that can be improved in all aspects. I think in terms of riding and speed, we are already very prepared – at the end of the season, if I wasn’t one of the strongest, I was almost.’
As for what needs to be improved, Martín highlighted three areas: ‘I think the aspects to improve are the start of the season, because last year was when I had the most difficulties and then had to recover; Sundays, it is also an aspect to work on – I think in terms of setup maybe prepare the bike more for Sunday than just to be fast; and then I think mentally I also struggled a bit at the end of the season. I had a lot of pressure, maybe obsessed with that victory, and things didn’t go well. So, we have to work a bit on that aspect too.’
