Rumours have been circulating since last week about a possible imminent split between Jorge Martín and Aprilia – with the rider potentially leaving at the end of the season instead of fulfilling his contract through 2026 as initially planned.

For now, it remains speculation, with neither the rider nor the team having made any official statements on the matter. However, according to Motorsport.com, the 2024 world champion was allegedly present «under the radar» in the paddock at the French GP to meet with Aprilia officials.

Whether there is any truth to it remains to be seen. What is certain is that Martín will soon have his first public commitment with the Noale-based manufacturer since these rumours emerged.

Still sidelined due to injuries sustained at the Qatar GP, the Spaniard is expected to attend the Aprilia Pro Experience – set to take place on May 31 at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Based on the wording of the announcement, it appears that Martín’s attendance is not yet guaranteed. However, if he does show up, it will mark his first public appearance since speculation began regarding a potential early exit from Aprilia – with Honda named as a possible destination in such a scenario.
