For the second consecutive year, the MotoGP title was contested until the final race between Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) – who were clearly superior to the rest.

This time, it was Martín who became champion, avenging Bagnaia’s title from 2023. Journalist and commentator Jaime Alguersuari highlighted the merit of both riders on the Dura la Vita podcast: ‘The untouchable merit of Martín and Pecco is undeniable. It’s so great because they were the ones chosen to ride those winning bikes – and they were from day one’.

That being said, the former rider believes that Martín and Bagnaia are not necessarily the best in the field – admitting that he would have liked to see other riders on a Ducati Desmosedici GP24:

– The World Championship that Martín won with so much merit – one thing has nothing to do with the other, it was two bikes, it was two riders, but they were very good. Are they the best? Surely not. I would have liked to see [Fabio] Quartararo with those same bikes and, especially, the 20-year-old guy – [Pedro] Acosta.
