The MotoGP preseason served for Marc Márquez to take his first steps with the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 – an adaptation he has to make after a decade with Repsol Honda. Despite being on a satellite team and with a bike from last year, he is seen as a potential title contender.
In a conversation with Nico Abad, Jaime Alguersuari spoke about the six-time world champion: ‘In these five days, Márquez has been looking for the reason why he is not afraid of a bike that is twice as competitive as the Honda. And look at four of the five days, three tenths behind his brother,’ he said.
Alguersuari then argued: ‘If Marc Márquez wins this World Championship, what needs to change is the regulations and the way things are done. [Jorge] Martín knows he needs Márquez to feel like a champion, and Pecco [Bagnaia] knows he needs Márquez to feel like a champion’.
