Even before yesterday’s day had ended, the Repsol Honda duo had already talked about the tests, with Joan Mir mentioning that he is open to all solutions regarding the current year, specifically the choice of chassis to use.
The rider, who is making his debut this year with the Japanese manufacturer after four years with Suzuki – which left MotoGP at the end of 2022 – spoke about the chassis he tested and did not rule out the possibility of using it in 2023, in what he considers to be a season of adaptation to a new reality: ‘This is something I still don’t know, because I don’t know at the end of the day what my decision will be. But if everything goes as planned and everything else, why not? I have already said that this season is more of a testing season than anything else, so why not?’
At the end of the day, the Spaniard ensured that he worked on aspects that could help him immediately: ‘Today we also worked on some things for the immediate future.’
It is worth noting that the Spaniard finished 18th in the morning session and 16th in the afternoon.
