Joan Mir has abandoned the last two MotoGP races of the season. Next up is the Thailand GP, where the Repsol Honda rider wants to end the series of three consecutive rounds on a more positive note.
Despite the difficulties in Phillip Island, the rider from Mallorca remains hopeful for Buriram, stating: ‘We arrive at the last of three intense consecutive races, but our focus and determination are exactly the same. Last weekend was tough, but Honda has been strong here in Thailand in the past, so let’s see what is possible next weekend‘.
Facing the differences in conditions and the track, Mir believes that a good and quick adaptation will be essential: ‘Buriram is a very different track compared to Phillip Island, and the weather seems a bit hotter! Therefore, it will be important to adapt to the bike early and well‘.
