Honda has evolved, Joan Mir assured, despite admitting to have lost the last day due to physical discomfort that prevented him from being on the track for longer.
The Spaniard did not hesitate when asked by the press if the fall was due to his condition: ‘Yes, yes, it was due to my situation. It was a mix of everything: I was pushing but I made a mistake in the last part of the fastest curve on the track, it was a bit of everything. You don’t have much margin and if you’re not 100% you make these types of mistakes’.
Later, in a statement, #36 added: ‘I had a quick fall, which meant we couldn’t practice the starts, so it was a quite complicated day. It would have been good to have this last day at our best, but we made good progress throughout these tests’.
It is worth noting that Mir had already stated that he needed more days of work with Honda.
