Jett Lawrence and Max Anstie were the winners of the AMA Supercross in Philadelphia. The 15th round of the season took place this Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
In the main category, 450SX, Lawrence (Team Honda HRC) made the holeshot in the main race and led from start to finish, gradually increasing his advantage. He had a lead of over six seconds at one point, but lost some ground on the last lap and crossed the finish line 5.031s ahead of Chase Sexton.
The Red Bull KTM rider engaged in a close battle for second place, coming out on top against Jason Anderson (Monster Energy Kawasaki). The top five was completed by Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac from Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.
As for the 250SX East, it was Seth Hammaker (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) who made the holeshot, leading for much of the race ahead of Anstie. The British rider from FirePower Honda Racing closed a gap that was over two seconds, made the pass on lap 12, and never lost the lead.
Therefore, Anstie won with a 1.111s advantage, with Tom Vialle (Red Bull KTM) in second, and Haiden Deegan (Monster Energy Star Yamaha) in third. His teammate Daxton Bennick was fourth and Chance Hymas (Team Honda HRC) finished fifth. Hammaker ended up in seventh place.
