Fourteenth today at Buddh for the Indian GP, Jack Miller was unable to make the changes to the KTM RC16 configuration work and was thus “forced” to use the same settings as Saturday, thereby maintaining the problems that have been affecting him for ‘a few rounds’ now, he stated.
Regarding the fact that he mentioned yesterday that he had some changes to the bike configuration that could help him, something that apparently did not happen, the Australian responded: ‘We tried a different setup this morning in Warm Up. It wasn’t much, just a few things, and I wasn’t entirely happy with it. I tried again and we went back to what I knew from the Sprint race, to take it to the main race, and I wasn’t good in turns five, eight, nine, ten… in those turns I couldn’t bring much speed or confidence.’
The Australian concluded: ‘It’s something that has been happening to us in the last few races, in addition to this grip issue, and what we tested in Misano could be an improvement but we have to achieve it. The guys are working and there are other things that I and the team can do together to try to improve our speed overall’.
