IX-AIRBAG U04 and IX-AIRBAG U05 a new generation of airbags
6 years after offering the first universal electronic airbag on the market – the iconic IX-AIRBAG U03, which became the best-selling model in Europe – the IXON brand presents a new generation of airbags in 2024. Discover the IX-AIRBAG U04 and the IX-AIRBAG U05, two sophisticated technological products: inspired by the Research & Development work with the MotoGP riders of the brand, IXON is reinventing the connection between protection and comfort.
These new airbags are equipped with AIRFLOW CHANNEL technology, an exclusive and advanced ventilation system that provides maximum cooling to the body. The airflow is guided into and out of the airbag through 3D mesh channels along the entire back and trunk of the lining, inside the airbag. The specific 45° orientation of the 3D mesh channels and the two central ventilation channels – in the trunk, on each side of the central zipper, and on the back, in a central position – ensure optimized airflow diffusion and regulation of body temperature.
This technology was developed in competition, directly with MotoGP riders from IXON: it is used in the suits worn by Aleix Espargaro, Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira, and Takaaki Nakagami. The result of several years of track work with some of the best riders in the world, the AIRFLOW CHANNEL technology is now available to the general public.
The IX-AIRBAG U04 and IX-AIRBAG U05 offer ideal driving sensations thanks to the choice of ultra-light materials, a design that does not limit movement, and a cut very close to the body.
They are also very versatile products: thanks to the 3 integrated fall detection modes in the electronic unit In&box designed by In&motion, these airbags are suitable for use on the road, in racing, and in adventure.
Protecting the vital areas of the upper body, the IX-AIRBAG U04 and IX-AIRBAG U05 offer a high level of protection: these high standards have allowed both airbags to be approved by various national federations in Europe and by the FIM, allowing their use in competition on the circuits.
