Even after confirming the renewal of the title in the Spanish Superbikes Championship, Ivo Lopes doesn’t seem to want to slow down in his victorious “parade” and today at the Navarra circuit he once again showed why he is a level above the rest.
The Portuguese rider from BMW EASYRACE Team once again made it two out of two in the second race of the ESBK and achieved another victory, completing the 16 laps of the Spanish circuit in 27:22.062s, which means a difference of 1.820s to former MotoGP rider Tito Rabat (2016 to 2021, in addition to a year in MotoE in 2023, and others in the lower categories of the world).
Third place went to Unai Orradre, while Román Ramos was fourth and Naomichi Uramoto closed the access to the top five.
Once again, this was a dominating performance, with Lopes completing all laps in first place, with the other key players being Óscar Gutiérrez – who did not finish the race – Rabat, and Ramos.
This way Lopes ended with a golden key an unforgettable weekend where he made history again.
