Joan Mir arrived at Repsol Honda this year after a career always linked to Suzuki – which ended its MotoGP project. It was not an easy season, marked by injuries, several retirements, and few encouraging results.
Honda team director Alberto Puig commented to the championship’s official website on the year of the rider from Palma de Mallorca, stating:
– This year has not been easy for Joan. He realized it wasn’t that easy. He hopes to try next year’s bike and see if the bike is more suitable for him, or more… let’s say, the way he likes to ride.
The RC213V will be substantially different in 2024, as seen in the Valencia tests in November. Honda aims to make clear progress compared to recent years and counts on Mir as one of the riders.
