Nicolò Bulega arrives in Assen leading the World Superbike Championship, which he will try to defend. However, the Aruba.it Ducati rookie underwent arm surgery a few weeks ago and may not be at his best physically. In any case, he already knows what it’s like to win on the Dutch track, thanks to last year’s victories in the Supersport.
Due to his physical condition and the possible weather conditions, the Italian admitted that this will be a challenging round – as it will be his return to the track after surgery:
– It’s useless to hide that it will be a very challenging weekend. On one hand, there is a weather forecast that can suddenly change the game. On the other hand, I am curious to understand my condition, since I haven’t been on the bike since my arm surgery.
Nevertheless, Bulega emphasized that he is excited about this round: ‘Assen is a track that I like, it is undoubtedly among my favorites. That’s why I can’t wait to start‘.
