As is known, Marc Márquez will join Gresini Racing in the next MotoGP season – where he will be able to ride the Ducati, which is considered the strongest bike at the moment.
Asked whether the six-time champion can fight for the title on a Desmosedici GP in the first year, Álex Márquez showed some caution, although he has no doubts about his brother’s competitiveness from the beginning:
– It is too early to say that. Normally, if we look at the history of other Ducati riders, when they arrived, they adapted easily to that bike – also in my case. But he has been riding the same bike for the last 11 years, so it is certain that there are several things he needs to change. But he has incredible talent, he will be fast from the first moment. But later, fighting for a title and these things, it is too early, step by step. We still have the whole winter ahead, the whole pre-season, so we will see how everything is. But for me personally, it will be very good to also increase my level and to learn from the best rider in the paddock.
