A Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. confirms Fabio Quartararo as the Factory Yamaha rider for the 2025 and 2026 MotoGP seasons. Keeping the talented French rider in the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team was a top priority for the Iwata factory, and Yamaha is making every effort to support Quartararo. His decision to “stay with the Team Blue” was positively influenced by Yamaha’s strong commitment to return to victory with the continuous development of the YZR-M1.
Although they are “only” in their fourth year together, the Quartararo-Yamaha combination is already considered a natural pairing among MotoGP fans. The successful partnership led to Quartararo’s first MotoGP World Championship title in 2021, in his first season with the factory team, and a second-place finish in the 2022 title race.
Other highlights from Yamaha in Quartararo’s resume include 8 race wins and 21 podiums with the factory team during the 2021-2024 seasons, as well as 3 race wins and 10 podiums with the satellite team in the two previous years. Additionally, he secured 16 pole positions and 41 front row starts in a total of 93 Grand Prix weekends aboard the YZR-M1.
These achievements, along with his undeniable skills, unmatched motivation, and cheerful and infectious personality, make Yamaha fully confident in their partnership with the 24-year-old.
Fabio Quartararo in statements said: ‘I am very happy to announce that I will continue my adventure with the team. Last winter, Yamaha proved to me that they have a new approach and a new aggressive mindset. My confidence is high: we will be back together at the front.’
‘Six years ago, they gave me the opportunity to move up to MotoGP and since then, we have achieved great things together. We still have a long way to go to be back fighting for victory. I will work hard and I am sure that, together, we will achieve our dream once again.’
