One of the riders with an uncertain future in MotoGP is Jorge Martín. The current championship leader is nearing the end of his contract with Pramac Racing and wants to be in a factory team, but it is not certain that he will have the place he so desires in Ducati.
During a press conference, the Spaniard revealed that the decision for 2025 is imminent: ‘I think the results of Le Mans, or Jerez, or what happens here, will not change what will happen. I understand Ducati’s timing, they need to understand what they need, how to fit everything in, so let’s wait. It is certain that in the next two weeks I will decide my future, because I will also know Ducati’s decision on my options‘.
Regarding the interest from other manufacturers, Martín commented: ‘I am also pleased and happy that many factories are knocking on my door – this certainly means that we are doing a good job. So, now is the time to wait‘.
The 2023 runner-up also said: ‘I cannot control what will happen in the coming weeks, so I will try to do my best here in Barcelona and in Mugello. And then we will see what the future brings us‘.
