MotoGP has gone through a period of significant aesthetic changes in recent years, with the proliferation of aerodynamic devices that affect performance and image.
Jack Miller, current Red Bull KTM rider, downplayed all of this in the impact of the unique experience of riding in the premier class, emphasizing that regardless of the shape of the bikes, riding them is incomparable:
– When riding in MotoGP, aerodynamics don’t matter, adjustment devices for height don’t matter. I think that being privileged enough to be one of these 22 most talented circuit riders in the world for almost ten years has been an incredible journey for me. That’s why, every time I sit on that bike and leave the pit lane, and as soon as I turn off the pit lane limiter, I think it’s the most incredible feeling. You can do anything else in the world, but nothing compares to riding that thing. I think it’s always a pleasure to swing a leg over one of these monsters. It doesn’t matter the shape or whether you think it’s beautiful or not, it’s fun.
