Marc Márquez moves to Gresini in the MotoGP World Championship this year, hoping to be competitive again – although he is also aware that the task will not be easy, having to adapt to a new bike – the Ducati – after a decade with Honda.
Mattia Pasini told MOW Mag: ‘It will be a huge challenge for him. It can be a great success, but also the exact opposite: for someone like him, who switched to Ducati after saying for several years that it is the best bike…’.
The Italian believes that expectations for Márquez are high and the rider will try to meet them, despite strong opposition: ‘In my opinion, an eight-time world champion is expected to at least win, not just be in the top five. Otherwise, in my opinion, it’s not justified. He will try to win, but the others won’t be quiet’.
