After confirming that Michelin’s investigation into the tire failure in Qatar did not detect any issues, Piero Taramasso advances that the same conclusions were confirmed by Ducati and Pramac, thus dispelling the sabotage suspicions that Jorge Martín raised after the issues in Losail.
The Michelin MotoGP chief admitted that the tire supplier conducted a careful investigation into what happened with the tire criticized by #89, and concluded that nothing was wrong but the situation did not stop there.
To Australian Motorcycle News, Taramasso mentioned that in addition to Michelin itself, Ducati and Pramac Racing also took their steps on the issue and the conclusion of all coincided: there was indeed human error… on Martín’s part.
‘We did an analysis and shared our analysis with Ducati and Pramac. They did their analysis,’ Taramasso made it known that he determined that the poor start did not originate from the equipment, but from Martinator, adding:
