Augusto Fernández has not yet been confirmed as a rider for GasGas Tech3 in MotoGP in 2024 – when this is the only vacant spot in the KTM teams and there is still Pedro Acosta to place.
Asked in a press conference if the uncertainty about the future is becoming an unwanted distraction, the Spaniard emphasized that he has a contract signed for 2024:
– It is true that it does not help, but I have my contract signed, so I have the news that everyone knows: in theory I have the place for next year, so I want to believe in that and focus on my work in 2023 and finish the year in the best possible way, achieving good results until the end of the season. And hopefully we can have the place again in 2024.
