Francesco Bagnaia achieved victory in the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix with a solid performance that allowed him to beat Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) in an exciting direct duel until the end.
Less than 24 hours later, he returned to action in Jerez for the official test day. Therefore, he had to redirect his attention from celebrating success to the work he had ahead.
Nothing that is a challenge for the Ducati rider. Bagnaia told the press that he has no problem changing his mindset, being guided by the focus on improvement:
– I am very good at turning the page of the book. So, Sunday was a fantastic day, we enjoyed it a lot, it was great. We had a nice dinner all together with the team at night. And on Monday morning I was in another day. I am happy with Sunday, but I am very focused on improving my feeling with this bike and in the test we took another step forward.
After the first four rounds, Bagnaia is the only rider with two wins in main races. He is in second place in the championship 17 points behind the leader, who is still Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
