In a season that ended up being dominant, Pedro Acosta became the Moto2 world champion in 2023. However, he didn’t fail to experience difficult moments and make some mistakes, also relying on the help of his team – Red Bull KTM Ajo – to overcome them.
The Spanish rider explained that after the crash at the French GP, he had time to recover: ‘I think we made mistakes at crucial moments of the year. After all, I crashed in Le Mans early in the year and then there were three weeks of break. I took advantage of those three weeks to think about what had happened, and that made me eager to recover points‘.
Acosta also highlighted the importance of Red Bull KTM Ajo: ‘We were getting closer and closer to the end of the year, and ultimately it wasn’t just me, but also the team. Not every day is good, but even the team believed we could win a World Championship… if they believed it, then how could I not believe it?‘.
