Toprak Razgatlioglu will try to continue his good run of results with BMW in Assen. The Turkish rider who switched from Yamaha to BMW where he has already had two victories.
The BMW rider in statements to GPOne talked about the upcoming weekend in Assen and also about the rumors of a potential move to MotoGP.
– ‘I had the opportunity to watch the races again and especially the overtake by Álvaro in the last corner of the Superpole Race. I have to say it was exciting, considering it looks different from the outside than when you’re on the bike. Besides the victory on the track, there is also a personal victory. Everyone said my career would end a year ago when I went to BMW, because the bike was not competitive. But now many people have changed their minds. My goal is to win the World Championship this year, I don’t know if I will achieve it, but I will try, even though I have never ridden an M1000RR on some circuits. Assen is an example’.
Regarding his move to MotoGP, Toprak does not rule out this possibility: ‘If I win the Superbike title, I can race in MotoGP in 2026 and I do not rule out this possibility. I think no one would be happy to see me leave, because in SBK everyone has a very similar style, while mine is different. If I go to MotoGP it is because I am looking for a stimulating challenge. Obviously it will not be easy to make the leap to the other paddock, but we will see. I would like BMW to come to MotoGP and I think it would be perfect’.
