After being the runner-up last year, fighting for the title until the last round, Jorge Martín once again did not secure a place in the Ducati factory team – remaining in Pramac, where he faced off against world champion Francesco Bagnaia, who is an official rider for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
Despite having the same technical conditions, the Spaniard does not have that status, which he does not hide his natural ambition to have. And, according to statements to ACMN quoted on the Motosan.es website, Martín said: ‘If I haven’t shown my potential to be in the Lenovo [Ducati factory team], I will never be in red‘.
Nevertheless, Martín emphasized that he was very pleased with his performance in 2023 at Pramac: ‘We made history in a satellite team and I am happy with the 13 victories. It was remarkable work. The goal was to be among the top three, and we did much more than that‘.
