Franco Morbidelli arrives at the Catalunya GP in 16th position in the MotoGP World Championship. The Italian rider failed to score points again after crashing at the Le Mans GP.
In the debrief, the Pramac Racing rider talked about his expectations for this weekend at the Montmelo circuit.
– I am looking forward to the start of this weekend, after the progress we are making. I want to improve even more, at the beginning of the race and in the attack for a fast lap, we are confident in our pace and that is the most important thing. The start, fast lap, and pace during the race are what I am lacking a bit at the moment. I have always been a rider with little grip, I have always had something extra compared to others. I don’t know how the grip will be, but for sure it won’t be wonderful. Whatever the conditions are, I am improving in all aspects.
Asked about the feeling he is having now with Ducati and his future, Morbidelli replied: ‘The performance and speed are much better. Last year I was still able to qualify ahead of Fabio, I managed to have good performances. I will make Ducati start talking about me, in time. I will do the best I can now and then we will see my future.’
