Pedro Acosta has been gaining maturity throughout his career in motorcycle racing, which began in 2021. He has gone through good and not so good periods – in this case, part of the 2022 season – and specifically in his relationship with the press, he considers that he has learned to manage it better.
The rider who will make his MotoGP debut this year for Red Bull GasGas Tech3 stated: ‘The Pedro of 2021/2022 hasn’t changed much. But it is true that I think I was too much of a child for all the stress and all the press that came to me at that time. I still tried to be open, but on the other hand, it is true that for the press, when they hear what you say, it is always easy to make it sound worse and put it on the other side. And when you listen, you hear something else for that reason’.
That being said, Acosta talked about his approach to the press: ‘I just try to answer what I want and not talk about what I don’t want to talk about’.
