Winds of change for David Muñoz. The Moto3 rider will start the new year with a different number, abandoning #44 to switch to #64.
‘I needed to change the number to start a new stage. #64 has always been my number and I believe it can bring me luck’, he explained.
Muñoz suffered a fall in Jerez that ended up defining his season that ended a few weeks ago.
‘I wasn’t expecting that fall, it all happened very quickly and I didn’t realize anything. It was a difficult moment, in which the recovery was not quick at all’, he recalled, in statements to the newspaper Marca.
For 2024, the young BOE Motorsports rider shows ambition.
‘I want to be in the front positions and fight for the championship. Having a fast teammate like [Joel] Kelso is always good because it helps you improve’.
In this year’s Moto3 World Championship, Muñoz finished in tenth place with 113 points, in a championship that was won by compatriot Jaume Masiá (Leopard Racing).
