Sepang is one of the few MotoGP circuits where Miguel Oliveira arrives with prior knowledge aboard the Aprilia – after the pre-season tests held there in February. At the time, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was about a second off the best time over the three days.
In statements to the press, the Portuguese rider said that his expectations are not very high, but he believes he has progressed since the February test and hopes to have a better performance:
– I really don’t want to go into the weekend expecting too much. It is true that I took a good step in terms of riding and also in how we set up the bike with the electronics compared to the test. So I hope to perform better and be myself again from now on. It hasn’t been easy, but I think we will turn things around, hopefully.
