Marco Bezzecchi was the third-place finisher in the MotoGP World Championship last year, so only two results can be better – being champion or being vice-champion. However, for now, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider does not have specific goals in terms of results.
The Italian explained in a press conference that it is premature to set goals: ‘I think it’s a bit early to establish a specific goal. Last year was fantastic, but every year is different. This year there are some changes in the field and we haven’t even done the first test, so I would like to wait to set a goal for myself‘.
In any case, Bezzecchi emphasized that he wants to perform well again, defining his goals after the first tests of the year: ‘Of course, after last year, I also want to have good races again, or even better ones. But for now, I try to stay calm and focused on the tests – try to learn the bike, try to get comfortable on the bike. And after Malaysia, I will think about a goal for myself‘.
