Enea Bastianini started the MotoGP season with a top five in Qatar. Next weekend, the Portuguese GP will take place, where the Ducati rider wants to continue the good start.
The Italian began by commenting: ‘I am happy to return to Portimão for the first European race of the season. It is an exceptional track and at the end of January we trained here with the Panigale V4S‘.
After injuring himself during the Sprint race in Portugal in 2023, Bastianini emphasized that he wants to build good memories now… and do better than in Qatar: ‘I have a score to settle with Portimão: I did not compete last year because of the injury I suffered in the accident during the Sprint. The first GP of the season in Qatar went well, but honestly I expected to achieve more, so I will try to redeem myself this weekend‘.
