For over a decade in MotoGP, Marc Márquez has achieved six titles, but since 2020 he has been going through less good moments – due to injuries and the sharp drop in competitiveness of Honda. This year he decided to embrace a new challenge and will represent Gresini – a satellite team – to ride a Ducati.
Great expectations have always fallen on the Spaniard, who, in statements in a DAZN documentary, emphasized that it is necessary to keep your feet on the ground: ‘As you managed to go far, people expect great things from you, but you have to be realistic with yourself and those around you about where you come from and where you want to go. There has to be a path traced and there will be stones, but it is these moments that make you mature not only professionally, but also personally‘.
Márquez later admitted: ‘It was a year in which I had to make decisions that I may regret in the future, I don’t know, but they were all very thought out, very meditated, and above all, none were made in the heat of the moment, something I also learned‘.
