Repsol Honda continues to not have a replacement announced for Marc Márquez, when the first pre-season test for 2024 is about a month away. In recent days, names like Fabio Di Giannantonio, Maverick Viñales, and Miguel Oliveira have been mentioned, but for now it’s all just speculation.
In statements to the website GPOne.com, rider manager Carlo Pernat emphasized that there are few options for the Japanese manufacturer… and even added the name of Iker Lecuona to the list of possibilities:
– It’s the end of October and Honda still doesn’t have a rider. At this moment, I don’t see many solutions. One could be to take Di Giannantonio, another to focus on Lecuona, or to break the contract with a rider like Oliveira or Viñales, but that certainly wouldn’t be elegant.
