Jorge Martín finishes the first day of training for the Le Mans GP in first position. The Spanish rider set a new record for the fastest lap on the French circuit and proved to be at the highest level for the rest of the weekend.
In the debrief, the Prima Pramac Racing rider talked about the sensations of the first day at Le Mans.
– I can’t remember the last time I was first in both sessions. I think we made good changes and improved our base. I am very happy, now we have to understand where we can be faster and see what we can achieve.
Asked about where to improve his bike, Martín replied: ‘A bit in the geometry of the bike and in the balance, it’s working very well. I am happy because I did 25 laps with the same tires and was in the low thirty-one, so it’s good for the race. It will be essential to work on the points where we lose the most because we are all very close. I saw that Pecco was strong and Enea as well, Marc and maybe Pedro, I don’t know, we’ll see.’
