Augusto Fernández arrives at the Le Mans circuit with unconvincing results so far. Pedro Acosta’s teammate suffered a crash at the Jerez GP and once again failed to score points.
In the debrief, the Spanish rider talked about the expectations he has for this weekend.
– Let’s see if we finally take a step forward here. I’ve been saying in recent weeks that it’s not a big thing missing on the bike. We didn’t arrive in great shape to have the performance we had last year, but we are confident. I had an accident at turn seven in Jerez, in the tests we discovered some things that may or may not work, but we have to stay positive, we have some ideas for the weekend. We will try some things here that may work. I still don’t feel 100% with the bike, here is a more demanding circuit in braking, it’s not as smooth as in Jerez.
Asked about his opinion regarding the new regulations for 2027, Augusto replied: ‘What will be most different will be the way of driving without the devices, the aerodynamics may also affect some riders, which may help some riders in their performance.’
