KTM works to further improve its MotoGP bike, aiming to establish itself as a regular contender for top positions. Official tests during the season are essential for this purpose.
The first one took place last Monday in Jerez, during which some work was done on updates, including in terms of aerodynamics. For now, it is still unknown when these solutions will be introduced in Grand Prix races.
One of the riders from the Austrian manufacturer, Brad Binder, stated that he does not expect to have the updates in a race soon, believing that they will be further worked on during the June test in Mugello:
– I’m actually not quite sure. I don’t know where we’re going from here, to be honest. I don’t think we’ll use the updates soon. So, I guess Mugello will probably be the next opportunity to have a good comparison check, and after that, I think we can move forward.
After a podium in Qatar, Binder has not been able to reach the top three in a main race again. In the past Sunday’s Spanish GP, he finished sixth, dropping to seventh place in the championship, trailing by 33 points from the lead.
