Although the 2023 season fell short of initial expectations, Aleix Espargaró still managed to secure two victories last year – including a particularly special one in his home GP in Catalonia.
Recognizing the dedication of the Spanish rider, manager Carlo Pernat believes he deserves a 7 out of 10 rating. However, he emphasized to GPOne.com that he did not like seeing Espargaró in the final phase of 2023:
– I give him an approval because he puts his heart and soul into this. He made some mistakes, but he also won two races. I could give him more than a 7, but I didn’t like his nervousness at the end of the season.
