Jack Miller finished the Portuguese GP race in fifth position. The Australian was very consistent throughout the weekend, leading the Sprint race for several laps, but on Sunday’s race he couldn’t keep up with the high pace of his rivals and his teammate Brad Binder.
In the debrief, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider talked about the sensations he had during the race and throughout the weekend.
– ‘It was a good weekend, I was trying to keep up with the leaders, but unfortunately I lacked some speed today. I had the pace in the second and third sectors, but in the last one I lacked the pace to keep up and couldn’t compensate for the “yo yo” effect. Overall, we can draw positive conclusions from this race, we have an excellent bike with great potential and we have improved in all areas, we just need to unleash all this potential from the bike.’
Asked about Pedro Acosta’s great performance during the race, Jack replied:
– ‘I didn’t have a chance, overall it was a great day, Pedro drove very well today. I couldn’t do anything to stop him, he was very good on the bike. Now I have good chances on circuits that I really like, we just have to improve small things and understand the bike better, I felt that I rode very well this weekend and I believe we can be very competitive.’
