Brad Binder will start from the front row in the MotoGP Catalan Grand Prix. The Red Bull KTM rider finished qualifying in Barcelona in third place, 0.144s behind pole position holder Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia).
Ahead of the South African was Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) in second. Nonetheless, it is a recovery after a Friday that had some setbacks – namely, two crashes.
In an interview with the official broadcast, Binder commented: ‘I definitely prefer to start from the front row, that’s for sure. But I am quite happy. Except for the two crashes yesterday, we had a really good weekend. Every time I put my head down, I have been able to be fast‘.
The rider also stated that he is excited for the Sprint race: ‘This morning we worked a bit for the race, everything looks good and I am excited to see how we perform today‘.
