Paolo Simoncelli made statements through his team SIC 58 Squadra Corse about the show at the Jerez GP.
The father of the late former rider, Marco Simoncelli, talked about the intense battle between Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia and the exciting atmosphere experienced during the weekend in Jerez.
– In Jerez we are talking about 100,000 spectators who were able to enjoy thrilling and adrenaline-filled races. I still believe that Márquez is an asset to the show, but this time Bagnaia was heroic, I embrace him and congratulate him
He also added a summary about his Moto3 team at the Jerez GP: ‘In this winding track full of more and less old memories, we also raced in Moto3 now turned into the ‘penalty festival’… I am happy with the races we had. Farioli and Lunetta had a difficult qualifying session due to the paranoia and laps on wet track, but they ended up redeeming themselves in the race. The first one started in 13th, which made me discover a side of him that I did not know. He is aggressive, determined and precise even in the fight, I admit I was not expecting it, but then he came in front of the group he fought with the whole time.’
