Raul Fernández finished the Sprint race in 9th position. The Spanish rider finished within the points for the first time this season, after two GPs without scoring.
In the debrief, the Trackhouse Racing Team driver talked about the sensations he had throughout the entire Sprint race.
– ‘When you are in Q1 it’s a lottery, it’s not easy, but I think 13th in qualifying is not bad. We had a very good Sprint. I said yesterday, the bike is better and my feeling with the bike is much better. I can already do what I want with the bike, but we want more, we will try to score more in the race because the first two races were not what we wanted.’
Asked about the feeling of improving on the bike and if it could influence confidence, Raul replied: ‘It’s important to leave here with good feelings and arrive in Europe well. We are working well and it will be very important for me to arrive in Jerez confident with the bike. It will be difficult to attack on this circuit because of the trajectory, but we will see. We have to understand well how to manage things during the race.’
