Luca Marini opens a new chapter in his MotoGP career in 2024, becoming a factory rider for the first time. He joins Repsol Honda with the goal of contributing to the manufacturer’s return to good results.
In an interview with the Por Orejas podcast, the Italian commented: ‘I think I am the right rider for Honda and I also think that, for me, Honda is the ideal team because it is a dream, it’s like playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona; it’s spectacular‘.
That being said, Marini knows that he is joining Honda at a challenging time and believes he can help them return to the top soon: ‘It is true that the technical setup at Honda is not the best at the moment, but with my experience in MotoGP with Ducati and everything I can contribute to Honda with my feedback, we will soon fight to reach the podium again‘.
