Fabio Di Giannantonio continues to ride a Ducati in the 2024 MotoGP season, but everything else changes as he leaves Gresini and is now with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. Nevertheless, he is confident that he will have the means to be fast from the beginning of the season.
The Italian said that, despite having to adapt to many differences, the first steps were encouraging and problem-free: ‘Let’s say it is certain that there are some novelties on my part: I change colors, change teams, also personnel, and the bike is similar, but new to me. Honestly, we don’t have any problems. The new bike we tested in Valencia is a little better in almost all areas, the team is fantastic – they are very professional. And also my new group is quite good, the energy we had in Valencia was very good. So, the start was very pleasant, they have a lot of knowledge.’
In this context, Di Giannantonio believes he can be competitive from the beginning: ‘I am sure that in the first part of the season we can start well. It is important to have good tests in Sepang and also in Qatar, but I think we will be ready to fight right away in Qatar in the first race.’
