Jorge Martín was the MotoGP World Championship runner-up with Pramac Racing last year, but he remains with the satellite team and did not have a spot in the factory team in 2024. His goal is to reach there next year, even though there are many other contenders – such as Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi, and even Marc Márquez.
The #89 said in a press conference that, despite his ambition for the future, he feels in a good position for 2024: ‘I am quite happy, that’s for sure. I think I am in the best… well, maybe not the best possible place right now, it’s true that I would have signed for the next two seasons with the factory Ducati, but it doesn’t depend on me. They know what I want and it’s my first goal for the future. But at the moment I feel pretty good here and it’s a great place to fight this season. Then, we’ll see what’s next‘.
Questioned about who he considers to be his main adversaries in the fight for the vacant spot at Ducati in 2025, Martín replied: ‘I don’t want to talk much about this. I think I am my own adversary for that spot. I will try to do my best and try to achieve it. That’s it’.
